Good-Night, Seattle!
Good-Night, Seattle!

All good things must come to an end – and my latest Seattle sojourn being the latest.  So what better way to say a heart-felt ‘good-night’ to Seattle, than with a night shot of Pike’s Place Market? And during this time of the year, what I’ll miss most is the neon glow that surrounds the market.

This year marks the 20th anniversary of the first-ever blog, created by a California software developer, who called it ‘Davenet’  – and when the history of the internet is written, software pioneer Dave Winer will be right up there with Tim Berners-Lee and Al Gore.  And fittingly, as we head out of Seattle, we  celebrate also the 1st anniversary of this blog – and not that I’m counting in any way, but in the past 365 days, we’ve had 143 blog entries, 148 photos (I cheated with one entry having 5 photos!) and 32,968 words.

  • John: I'm in Lancaster, PA but with a son and daughter in Seattle. I love your blogs and will miss the wonderful Seattle atmosphere you bring to life. I hope you continue your blog and keep posting for us where ever your calling takes you.

  • The blog will continue. Only difference is that it will be doing to Glasgow what I did to Seattle.
